Camping

We will provide group camping at the Finland Community Center on Friday, July 25. We also have the Grand Marais Municipal Campground group sites reserved for our event on Saturday, July 26.

The Finland Community Center is disperse camping on their property with access to water, toilets, parking and the start line. It is about a mile away from the town of Finland, with access to groceries and other basic supplies.

The Grand Marais Muni Campground is a busy place with lots of other types of campers and amenities, including a rocky beach to take a refreshing post-ride dip in Lake Superior, warm showers, and easy walking distance to restaurants, taverns, and grocery stores. We will start on Sunday morning from our reserved pavilion.

All racers are responsible for carrying their individual sleeping set ups. Hammocks are allowed, but there are limited trees for set-up. We recommend either a solo tent or bivy sack. We do not encourage a huge investment in gear for this race. If you are struggling to obtain equipment please email us for suggestions.
